Barbara A. Hynak is a partner in the firm and has held several positions in law firms and corporations. Ms. Hynak has served as General Law Counsel for corporations. Her responsibilities included maintenance of the the corporations’ intellectual property holdings, general corporate law and real estate syndication.Ms. Hynak obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Murray State University (summa cum laude 1976) and a Juris Doctor degree from Ohio Northern University (magna cum laude 1979).Ms. Hynak is admitted to practice before the Virginia State Bar, District of Columbia Bar and Ohio State Bar.
Michael J. Hynak is a partner in the firm and has been involved in the practice of Intellectual Property Law for over 35 years. Mr. Hynak was employed by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office where he served as an Examining Attorney, the editor of the Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure, and Petitions and Classification Attorney. Mr. Hynak also represented the U.S. in Geneva, Switzerland at the World Intellectual Property Organization.Mr. Hynak has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Scranton (1976) and a Juris Doctor degree from Ohio Northern University (1979). Mr. Hynak is admitted to practice before the District of Columbia Bar, Ohio State Bar and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the the Federal Circuit. He has served as an expert witness on various trademark issues and has testified in Federal Court on numerous occasions.Mr. Hynak has extensive experience in trademark management databases. Mr. Hynak served as a consultant to a European company which deals with computer database management. He has also assisted law firms and corporations in developing, purchasing and installing trademark management software to meet their particular needs.
